MAY CHALLENGE - RESURRECTION WASHCLOTHS

Spring brings the promise of new life with the remembrance of Easter resurrection and the birth of new spring flowers. This month our challenge reminds us of our own resurrection as we create washcloths for two special St. Stephens Lutheran Church, MS events. We've been asked to create washcloths for June's Mission trip to Alaska which will be provided to local Ft. Fisher resident's care packages. We have also been asked by one of our own TwinKnit Angels, Linda Tilley, to create 65 Cotton White washcloths for an upcoming Women for the Lutheran Church Mission League (WLML) as part of a special event to remind attendees of the gift and power of resurrection. The group has purchased some washcloth fabric that can be used for the project, but we will also accept donations of washcloth cotton yarn. Whatever we don't use for this project, will be used to continue to make washcloths throughout the year for various missions. Washcloths are one of the first projects many of our members begin with when learning to crochet and knit, so we are always in need of cotton yarn.

Completed washcloths or yarn can be dropped off at the donation bin in the St. Stephens Lutheran Church, MS in Hickory, NC or at one of our upcoming workshops. Please contact us directly if you have any additional questions or need to arrange any special drop off arrangements.
