Yarn crafts provide therapy for the creator and comfort to those who receive them. This month we are in need of both. I'm encouraging crafters to sample some new patterns and learn some new stitches. Growing your skills can be therapeutic and regenerating. https://www.craftyarncouncil.com/health-therapeutic
Between your learning projects, consider continuing creating pocket crosses and prayer shawls. In the next few weeks, as you encounter others who may be struggling through this COVID-19 crisis, share a cross or a shawl. Leave a cross in your mailbox or with the delivery worker, thank them for their service. If you know healthcare workers, consider sending them a cross. Hang a cross on your neighbors door or pass one back to a restaurant worker or cashier to thank them and put them at ease. Be creative. Tuck one in your pocket to remember we all need a reminder that God is in control. Sample Cross pattern: http://southernbellecrochet.com/free-pattern-mini-prayer-cloth/
Add a little card that has a note or scripture. A few suggestions are below.
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand. - Isaiah 41:10
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- Philippians 4:6-7
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. - Psalm 46:1
