Every August we extend a call for prayer shawls. We will continue to support local missions with these shawls. This has been an especially difficult year. This is a perfect opportunity to spend some meditative time in prayer. Throughout the month of August we will be providing opportunities to learn more about developing a prayer and meditation time during crocheting or knitting sessions. We will share new patterns and even offer a crochet along to those interested in crocheting the same pattern together. Catawba Valley Medical Hospital (CVMH) - Critical Care Unit
- Families and patience who are in need of prayers and comfort
St. Stephens Lutheran Church - Prayer Shawl Ministry
- Prayers for those homebound, in care facilities, and others in need of comfort.
Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church Cancer Care Packages
- Cancer patience undergoing treatment or in recovery
- Warm Up America! is working with Saber Healthcare Group® to provide lap blankets and shawls to the seniors they serve in their facilities. Saber Healthcare Group® cares for over 9,000 seniors in 117 communities spanning seven states. Any size shawls are acceptable and suggested size for lap blankets is 35" by 45".
Please also be inspired to create for those neighbors or friends who may need your personal prayers at this time.
