Give a little Love
This month we want to challenge you to share a little love through one of the following projects. All of our projects this month include, you guessed it, hearts!
1. Choose to make sweet little hearts to give to pass to someone you may think needs a little love in their lives or take donate them to the Peyton Heart Project. This program is a global project created to help end suicide and bullying and the stigma surrounding mental health issues. These hearts provide a message of love and encouragement to those struggling with depression and mental health issues and also educates the public on the importance of taking care of each other. We will be collecting them for a possible special distribution locally and will send any additional onto the program for distribution across the world. Feel free to send or distribute directly, but please follow the instructions and guidance not the Peyton Heart Project. Patterns and ideas can also be found on the website, http://www.thepeytonheartproject.org
2. Hearts Hats and Scarves
These cute heart themed hats share a little love while keeping someone warm and cozy.
We challenge makers to incorporate hearts or valentine themes into hats and scarves to donate to local warming stations and other agencies sharing hats through their winter programs. We've included a couple sample projects that you can use for inspiration.
2. Create a sweet little Bear Hug Crochet Teddy Bear and provide comfort and love to children who may need a special bear hug. We would be glad to find a home for your new little creation or if there is an agency that you would like to donate to directly, please let us know who and how you've donated. We would love to see your project and learn about other needs in our community and share it with our other makers.
