October Kindness Challenge: Hats for "Hat Not Hate" & Local Agencies

In honor of National Bullying Prevention Month, we will be hosting special crafting sessions and creating blue hats to spread kindness and the message of "Hat not Hate".

What if I want to make another color hat? We will also begin to collect other color hats and scarves for donations to local agencies as they prepare their warming stations and winter closets.

Are there any specifications? We will accept all colors, styles and sizes for local agencies. Specifications, patterns and more information on the Hat not Hate campaign can be found on the Hat not Hate site.

What will we do with the hats? Know a school or organization who would want to host a distribution and kindness sharing event? We will be distributing these at special sharing sessions throughout the community. Please let us know if you have a group that would appreciate the learning more about the importance of kindness. We would love to share a hat and some educational activities with them.

Want to learn how to make a hat? We want to hear from you if you would like to host a maker event that would include learning how to loom a hat using a loom kit. Message us or send an email to twinknits@charter.net to learn more and check our upcoming events to see if there is already a workshop scheduled in your area. (note: Loom workshops may require a small fee if a kit is required).
